Driver Statistics Updated
I’ve updated the Driver Stats page and moved it from the Results page to its own wide-view page. Also updated it with current SR2 and SR3 statistics.
The new page provides the following stats for each track layout raced on:
Average Race Placing
Average Segment (Heat) Placing
Total Laps
Last Race Appearance
There are certainly more data points to dig out and list but this is a good start for now. If you can think of an interesting bit of racing information that would be helpful to know, please comment and I’ll get it on the list.

Open Track
NorCal H.O. Racing Calendar
Events and other important dates for Stewart Raceway
We’re all set for an open track session this Saturday. Bring your MegaG+ 1.7 chassis’ and NASCAR bodies. The February 4 race will consist of running the MegaG+ Lite class, the Viper V-SPEC Lexan class, and two IROC races. The body theme will be NASCAR style for this event.
You can test & tune whatever you’d like Saturday but some of us will be focused on setting up MegaG+ 1.7 cars for those drivers who have them and also setting up a few loaners to support the race the following weekend.
Both events have been posted so either RSVP via this reminder or visit the website at:http://stewartraceway.org/events-schedule/for details or to register.
Oh, I’ve done a few videos to help the newer guys set up their MegaG+ cars. You can view those here:Tuning Tips – YouTube
Saturday is an open track session, kids and young guns are welcome to come check it out and cut some laps, of course.
Okay, hope to see you Saturday!
Date: January 28, 2023
Gates Open At: 11:00 PST
Venue:
Stewart Raceway, SR3
We’re shooting for the first round of the 2023 50/50 Racing Series to go green on February 4, 2023. I’ll post the event details ASAP.
Reminder: SR3 supports running any car, in any lane, at any time. That means we can run TFX cars, magnet cars, and Viper-Jets at the same time in the same session. You, the driver, set the voltage of your chosen lane at your driver’s station. Everybody can test at any voltage in each individual lane, any time, with no waiting for a consensus on what cars to run.
In addition to the track time, which is always beneficial, veteran Sportsman and/or Expert drivers will be available to help interested drivers in improving lap times. Not just faster laps, but more consistent and consecutively faster laps. We’ll review controller setups, trigger techniques, driving style, and getting the most out of a car in any given lane.
The first official race of the 2023 season will be a 50/50 format: two builder-class car races, and two IROC-style races. The builder-class cars will be ourViper V-SPEC Lexanplatform and our newMegaG+ Support Class.Bodies will be NASCAR-style, so get cracking on your NASCAR Lexan bodies for your Viper. The MegaG+ class will employ 1.7 NASCAR style hardbodies. No lowered or otherwise modified bodies are permitted.
With our newMegaG+ support class, we have an inexpensive and flexible platform to run a diverse series on both oval and road courses. Most of us have MegaG+ chassis’ either 1.5 (short) or 1.7 (long). This series will involve the MegaG+ 1.7 chassis.
The winners of the Sportsman and Expert classes will be awarded mondo trophies upon completion of the series. There will also be a Concourse d’ Elegance competition each race day and an award is given to the points leader of that competition upon completion of the series.
