Strangely, the release that fixes the bug we’re experiencing when running fuel races will continue to plague us…
Needless to say, I’ll pass on that expense for now and begin a transition to using Race Coordinator (RC) exclusively at Stewart Raceway. We’ll lose one cool feature, which is the pulsing power when you run out of fuel. RC simply quits counting laps. If you don’t realize you’re out of fuel, you could do quite a few laps before you notice.
There are other advantages to using SlotTrak over RC but I’m pretty disappointed that SlotTrak has purposely refused to provide a version of the software that resolves our problem on SR2. I would have certainly upgraded SR2 at some point but building SR3 is the priority right now.
RC has a whole lot of cool features but is also quite a bit more complex to set up and run than SlotTrak and doesn’t have quite the same results management capabilities as SlotTrak. Anyway, the more I think about this situation the more I think about developing my own race management software…
Stewart Raceway is a residential 4-lane, 70′ routed track located in the Santa Cruz Mountains, just minutes away from the Highway 17 and Summit Road. We’re always looking for new drivers to join the fun. If you like racing anything, you’ll enjoy the excitement and adrenaline of racing little cars just as much.
