Team Race Day

Those of you still have your slot car stuff, we’re going racing again next Saturday.
This event will be something different. We’ll do a team racing event with a twist…
- The fastest qualifier will be paired with the slowest qualifier to make a two-person team. The next fastest qualifier is paired with the next slowest qualifier, etc., etc.
- Teams racing format: 50-lap heats with a 32-lap fuel allocation. Be careful with that pit stop!
- The usual race to the line finish, one-time through rotation.
Schedule:
10:00 Gates Open, track ready.
11:30:Â Qualifying. Indy-style qualifying but on the SR3 road course. Best of three laps, one lap warm-up.
12:30:Â Racing begins. Qualifying seeds rotation.
If we have time, we’ll do an IROC or maybe another Team race, we’ll see.
Okay, let me know if you can attend ASAP. The track may be open Friday night for practice. Let me know if you’re interested in that also.
If it’s going to be a hot day, we’ll take a poll and maybe run this on SR2 in the air-conditioned environment.
NOTE: If you want to avoid most of the beach traffic, get through Los Gatos by 11:00 AM. Check Google Maps for current traffic info. Sometimes crashes and CalTrans cause backups even before 11:00.
