G-Man has a commanding lead right now in total points but Ian Douglass is expected to return from his back injury to contest Round 3's road course. This will put additional pressure on G-Man, George Peters, and Russ Toy, our top 3 points leaders. Ian will surely be aggressive as he returns to racing and gets back into the points chase.
2021 Rookie of the Year, Brad Sandahl, will not make an appearance in Round 3 (favoring skiing in Tahoe over racing little cars, some people are into other things), which almost certainly takes the first-year phenom driver out of contention for a series podium finish.
So, it's a mixed bag tomorrow for the entire field. Ian's return will certainly light a fire under the current points leaders and maybe create some opportunities for others. Brad's absence from the field also opens up some possible opportunities. Oh, and don't forget, G-Man does have a tendency to miss the first race or two on race days. 8-)
In any case, it'll be a great day of racing. One of the races is a "Pot Luck" IROC event. Please bring any cool IROC sets you have, we'll collectively decide on which one to run in Race 3.
Racing begins at 11:30 sharp!
